Are you obsessed with sushi, but never tried it on your own?
This simple sushi recipe is your simple start in the homemade sushi making art!
Ingredients:
-
2 cups prepared sushi rice
-
2 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
For the filling:
-
100g skinless salmon fillet / use really fresh
-
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
-
soya sauce
-
wasabi
-
1 cucumber
-
4 nori sheets
Instruction
-
Prepare sushi rice by mixing cooked short-grain rice with seasoned vinegar.
-
Cut the cucumber and the salmon in small stripes.
-
Grab a handful of your prepared rice and place it on the nori. Spread the rice evenly onto nori sheet.
-
Place a handful of the fresh salmon stripes and the cucumber at the bottom end of the nori sheet. Notice: Leave 1 inch extra space between tuna mix and the edge of the nori sheet!
-
Now, grab the nori and the bamboo mat together. Roll the bamboo mat over the filling so the extra space at the bottom touches the other side of the nori.
-
To make a perfect shape roll, squeeze the roll down, while rolling it forward. Be gentle with the pressure!
-
Finally: Rub a knife on a damp paper towel and slice the roll in even portions.
Serve with soya sauce and wasabi.
Repeat the steps for remaining ingredients.
