Unagi sauce recipe, step by step
Cooking time: 20 min
Servings: 100 ml
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup soya sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup Mirin (sweet sake)
- 1/4 cup Sake
Instructions:
- Mix all ingredients together, and pour into a small pan. Put on a low to medium heat and bring it to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to a very low heat and continue simmering for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Once sugar is fully dissolved, let the sauce cool, and keep it in your refrigerator for use. The sauce will thicken more as it cools down.
